Z970-A PolyPen Aqua is a portable, handheld spectrophotometer intended for measurements of absorbance or transmittance of light in 380-790nm range by liquid suspensions placed in a cuvette. It has a wide range of applications – biotechnology, limnology, ecology, molecular biology, chemistry, forensic science, etc. The PolyPen-Aqua uses a single beam method detection and is equipped with an internal light source – Xenon incandescent lamp.
The Z970-A PolyPen Aqua measures whole spectra of transmittance and absorbance in the range of 380-790nm plus optical density (OD) at 600 nm, 680 nm, 720 nm, and 750 nm of a liquid suspension placed in a cuvette. Spectra data are instantly displayed on the colour touch-screen and can be transferred to a PC computer via USB connection and Spectrapen software. This instrument has a built-in GPS module and is powered by rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
